CFTRI Project Associate

CSIR CFTRI Mysuru invites online applications for 1 temporary Project Associate-II position under the I-CARE Study project. Candidates with an M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology/Nutrition and two years of relevant R&D experience can apply by 30 September 2026. The stipend is ₹28,000 per month plus HRA

CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysuru, has released Advertisement No. PAT 58/2026 for the engagement of one Project Associate-II (PAT-II) under project GAP000657, titled “Impact of a cost-effective, nutritionally optimized supplement on body composition and functional measures: A multicentric randomized-control trial among older adults at risk of malnutrition/or malnourished (I-CARE Study).”

The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, initially up to February 2027, with the possibility of extension up to February 2028, subject to project requirements, funding, performance, or completion of the project—whichever is earlier. The selected candidate will receive a stipend of ₹28,000 per month plus HRA.

Applicants must possess an M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, Nutrition, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university, along with two years of experience in research and development in an industrial or academic institution or a Science and Technology organization. Experience in product development and laboratory analysis techniques is desirable.

The maximum age limit is 35 years as on 30 September 2026, with applicable relaxation for eligible reserved categories, women, and PwBD candidates. Candidates who have already completed six years as project staff in CSIR laboratories are not eligible. The appointment will not provide any claim for permanent employment or regularization in CSIR-CFTRI or CSIR.
