CSIR-CFTRI Recruitment 2026 : Project Associate-II

CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysuru, a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), has released Advertisement No. PAT 56/2026 for engagement to the posts of Project Associate-II and Project Assistant-II under the project titled “CSIR-Jigyasa”, Project No. HCP002601.

The engagement is on a purely temporary contractual basis. The initial engagement is up to March 2027 and may be extended depending on the requirements or duration of the project.

Maximum Age Limit: 35 years

1. Project Associate-II (PAT-II)

Essential Qualification:

M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Science & Nutrition / Microbiology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

2 years of experience in research and development or science communication in an industrial/academic institution, science & technology organization, etc.

Job Requirement: The candidate should be able to interact with high school students, explain scientific concepts and assist in conducting activities related to the project.

2. Project Assistant-II (PA-II)

Essential Qualification:

B.Sc. in Food Science & Nutrition or equivalent from a recognized university
OR

3 year Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Biotechnology

Job Requirement: The selected candidate will be involved in technical and field assistance and will assist in conducting activities associated with the project.

Desirable Qualification/Experience

Experience in handling high school students for scientific events and fluency in Kannada is desirable.

Candidates must already possess the prescribed essential qualification and the results must have been declared by the last date of application. Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

The engagement is subject to CSIR rules regarding the maximum permissible period of engagement of project staff. Candidates who have already completed the prescribed maximum period of project-staff engagement may not be eligible.
